Just about finished. Waiting on Happ to send one, back ordered switch. That's why the controls look off-center a bit. But it's up and running with SKJ 4.0!
The amp was ripped from a set of Harmon/Kardon Model HK195 pc speakers. It has an output for a sub, but I didn't install one. I was very surprised that the amp could actually drive the speakers I used.
The speakers are a brand I never heard of before. I started with the Sony Xplodes but when I saw these, with blue LEDS already installed, in Walmart I just couldn't resist.
http://www.thetwistergroup.com/product/SBX-654%20D32359.htmlI just checked and they're not on Walmart's site though. I'm not an audio guy but I really couldn't tell the difference between these and the Sony's.
The neon lights are actually liquid neon lights. You can't tell in the pix, but they work kinda like those plasma balls you see everywhere. Cheapest, in stock at the time was from geeks.com. Here's a video of them in motion.
http://hosting.xoxidemods.com/vids/liquidneonb.mpegSwitches are all from Happ Controls.
iPAC for button controls.
The PC is an eMachine 900MHz Celeron with 384MB of RAM. Only a 20 GB hard drive for now.
I have a wireless PCI card in it, since it lives in my poker room which is attached to my garage, so I can add mp3's from my office pc via a share. Installed a VNC program as well as LogMeIn for complete remote access.
Cabinet is my own design, which as you can tell is nothing fancy, and made from 1/2" MDF, spray painted metallic black. I actually could have made it a little smaller but I was afraid I'd over look something and then have something not fit. My wood working skills are still in there infancy.

Got the marquee printed from Mame Marquees and backlit with a fluorescent lamp. Not real happy with the light though. It seems to wash out the blue in the marquee giving it more of a purple color. Maybe some sort of white LED bar would be better?
