I solved my problem. Since it took me nearly a week to do so, I thought I would share the solution. I hope this helps you.
Warning: Messing around with the service menu on your tv can be dangerous. Some settings might screw up your tv and possibly damage the tv permanently.
Of course... if you are like I was, that warning comes a bit too late.

Moving right along...
If you screw up your service menu settings on your tv, you need to locate the service manual for your tv. To do so, you need the model number of your tv. This is usually on the back of the tv. If you have a Philips or Magnavox tv, you need to know the chassis number for your tv too. This is located on the back of your tv as well.
Once you have this information, you have a few choices.
a) You can order a service manual from the manufacturer. But be aware that they can be quite expensive (> $50).
b) You can order a Photofact/eFact from Sams Technical Publishing. Be careful here, these aren't necessarily the same thing as the service manual. The one I recieved contained only the schematic for the tv. Cost me $22 for that, yeah.

c) Buy one off of ebay, if you can find one and if the seller is reputable. Good luck.
d) Find one online. Two good sites for locating service manuals are eserviceinfo.com and sharefx.com. This is where I found mine.
e) Take in the tv to a factory authorized repair center. This can be expensive and take forever.
Once you have the service manual, you'll need to locate the default settings for your models service menu and re-enter them. Once you do that, you should be in good shape.
This solved my problem, and I hope it helps you too.
Good luck!
