Strange problem U64emu and Mamewah
« on: September 24, 2006, 12:24:14 pm »
First off I know and realize that this emulator is no longer supported an is not accurate however, it is the only way I can currently play Killer Instinct on my weak 900mhz cab's computer.

I downloaded a wrapper from Lazarus entitled u64kit2.0 and I using U64emu 3.0.5. Following the instructions on mamewah-setup.co.uk I was able to get this working flawlessly on my desktop computer which is XP based OS.
I then (via network) copied all settings over to the cabinet which is 98SE running mamewah.

Here is the problem and on the cab. Mamewah will launch U64emu fine, but when exiting U64emu it will not close the program. It causes U64emu to just hang and I have to kill the operation by dragging the keyboard out of the cab and pressing the dreaded control alt delete.

I figure since all settings are the same that it has to be something to do with 98SE. Is there something I am missing? Here is my U64emu ini. If anyone can help that would be awesome! Thanks!

Thanks for the update. It's a bummer, but at least I don't have to scratch my head over it any more.

I'll wait untill I upgrade the beast and then run KI through Mame.

For now I will just launch the program through mamewah and use the ol'trackball to select KI or KI2 and launch from there. Not the end of the world by any means. Thanks again!

You might try using a autohotkey script in conjunction with the wrapper, but ahk doesn't work well in 9X either.

Thanks for the tip Howard_Casto.
I'm not sure that would work either though. It loads the selected game through mamewah fine. It just freezes once I hit escape to exit.
