Light Gun Holsters
« on: September 09, 2006, 02:55:33 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone know where to get decent light gun holsters or possibly how to make your own?

I have a pair of the original ACT LABS USB Light Guns and would like to have them mounted on the sides of my cabinet.

The ones I've seen from HAPP seem to be quite expensive and I don't even know if they would work well with the odd-shapped original ACT LABS guns.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

maybe use sheet metal and bend some.  or use wood.
Back in MY day we lived on the moon and we had to build a rocket ship from scratch to get to the Earth before we suffocated.

I used one of those robe hanger thingies that are normally found on a bathroom door.

thats more of a gun displayer id say.  when i think of holster i think of something that partially surrounds the entire gun.

how well do the robe hangers keep the gun in place?  when someone is playing id think they would fall off.

They work quite well.

It's very easy to put the guns on and off.

The knobs keep the guns in place.

They were cheap, easy to install and look pretty good with their chrome finish.

The guns have found the floor a couple times, because people knocked them off as they walked by the cabinet. That could easily be solved by mounting them an inch or two farther back.
