Safe 800x600 parameters for Powerstrip-Arcade monitor
« on: August 02, 2006, 07:46:35 am »
I've used the 640x480i(arcade) setting in powerstrip. I noticed there's also an 800x600, but it's not at 15KHz. How do I configure this to safely drive my 15KHz arcade monitor?

Use lrmc (http://sourceforge.net/projects/lrmc)

lrmc 800 600 48 -i

shows
# 800x600x48.00 @ 15.624kHz
Modeline "800x600x24.00"  14.499072  800 824 920 928  600 610 614 651  -HSyn
c -VSync interlace

which can easily be converted to the powerstrip format.

(I hope you know that you will not see 600 lines on your monitor unless you change the vertical size setting)
