no,frequency of signal input-you have 15k,25k,31k,35k and 38k,these are picture signal input frequency going from lowest graphic reproduction to the best available now
in theory you can run a polostar straight from any graphics card and it should auto frequency the picture to its optimum setting,so you should not require a arcade vga
your best bet is to email hantarex and tell them exactly what you want to do with the monitor and your cabinet setup-for instance if you are running only one game at lets say 31k(svga) then the monitor will run perfect but if you have many different games connected at different frequencies then it would have to auto range them
in my opinion the polostar should run perfectly ok with a good graphics card,like i said we have a few and i am very impressed with the quality
