Wow, looks nice, very professional with the stained wood.  I like how you have locks everywhere - keyboard drawer, front panel, back panel.  And the machine can double as a Wifi Hotspot!

Someone's going to break their finger on a follow-through on that trackballs! (come on, someone had to say it :D)

Very slick looking system, the locks is a great idea.

That 8-button setup is what X-Arcade uses.  It allows the second row to double as Neo-Geo buttons, with an extra "coin" button.  Dunno about the other side, maybe those are 3 mouse buttons for use with the trackball?

Very nice.  Your English is pretty good as well.  Is that a laminate on the sides?  What was the original wood thickness?

great mame build.  i like it.  i had a question about your mame computer rig there.  did you find it easier to have your mobo, hd, etc. all out like that?  i'm kind of in the middle right now on whether or not to use a case or to put everything on a little shelf in my mame cabinet.  i just want to make sure my A64 is happy. :-\
this bozo thinks, so therefore he definitely is a bozo

Exactly Dreamwriter, 8 buttons from the original X-arcade set up and 3 buttons for use with the trackball and two other wired on the player one for playing with the 4 ways joystick and spinner.

Thanks for your messages!

Hi theCoder,

Thank you for my english, I do what I can...  ;D
The orignal wood is mdf, I've not use laminate because it's not really easy to transport and cut it. I've just paint the wood and use a dyeing with a brush for making a wood effect. The last step is to varnish four or five times for a nice finish.

Hello Dudebozo,

Yes, it's easier to have all the components accessible for the transport of the mamcecab, for cleaning, for upgrading and I have more space in the cab. All the bottom of the cab is free.

Thanks again.

yeah, that's kind of what i figured, having it all laid out for easy access, cleaning, etc.  you bring up a good point about having the bottom open and free.  i'm going to put in a shelf thing where i can put my xbox, ps2, and gamecube in there.  my mame cabinet is going to basically be my all in one machine.

oh yeah, i like your idea of having the ethernet port and cable line in one of those face plate things.  i have one where i have ethernet, cable, red white yellow a-v in (in case i need to hook up something else).  great build

I have the same project, do a all in one machine game, but I don't know how to do for connect my arcade monitor to my x-box... I've seen an adaptator @ happcontrols but is it really good? I you have (or someone) information about the best solution for doing that   ;D
Thanks!

hey, sorry i don't have much information on that adaptor or stuff like that for your arcade monitor.  i just ended up using my spare 27" sony tv that i have in my room.  i have a wega and a trinitron.  both of those tvs have lots of spare connnections for my xbox, ps2, gamecube, etc.  the only thing holding me back is that the wega weighs A LOT :o.  sorry that i couldn't be much help mame-arcade

Hi,

Just a question, I want to know if it's a trouble for you
to have the plans in cm only or it's correct? Must I do
the plans in " too? I,ve updated my plans and the next
week, I'll put the price table of every items and I'll add a
page in the plans for assembling the cabinet parts.
