Future Driving Arcade
« on: July 12, 2006, 07:08:11 am »
Just Picked This Up on Ebay.au

I will continue this thread in the future when further developments occur.
At this stage I am feeling an X-box based driving arcade machine will be the go, and this pick-up will be the perfect place for a newbie to start..

Very cool.  I just picked up an modded xbox and want to do a driving cab next (after my family recovers from the PartyBox project).

Does a TV sit on top?

I look forward to following your progress.

I was going to bid on this one myself as it was about $83 with 30 minutes to go but it went up a bit in the last few minutes scaring me off.

Anyway nice pick up, I look forward to seeing further developments.

The gear shift is on the wrong side. I hope you got a discount for that.  ;D

In Australia, we drive on the right side of the car!

Not only that, I'm also left handed so that suits my one handed driving style 8)

Sorry About that but I live only a suburb over and this to me seems an ideal way to get going quickly in this new hobby obsession.

I will put a Tv on top but then box it in and try to paint match the TV cover and then even stretch out to a Marquee...

PS I have enjoyed following your partybox project also...

I might have to convince my 9 year old that the X-box he recently recieved for his Birthday (complete with modifications) needs to find a new home and that this would be a mutually suitable solution..
Wish me luck on that one..

Discount with the value of the Aussie Dollar I suppose it's relative.
It set me back $210 Australian which considering there was no shipping involved seemed reasonable to me..

Hey Crafty,

Just let you and anyone else from Adelaide know there's a few Adelaide pinball and arcade enthusiasts getting together at Amusement Worx one night shortly and perhaps on a regular basis, you can read about it at the Aussie Arcade forum if you're interested.
