Guncon2 woes
« on: April 16, 2006, 10:09:49 pm »
I have two Guncon2 guns running on winxp. My cab has a TV for a screen also.

For some reason i cant get my guns to hit the targets perfectly. Maybe im a dummy at calibration, but i just dont understand what i need to get to have my guns be precise. 5 shots out of 6 will reload the gun.

Is there a secret to calibration? Do i have to install the "guncon2PC suite" or the "guncun2PC mouse driver only" to be able to calibrate my guns?

FYI Im running newest mame .105 with mamewah as a frontend.

I'm not an expert on the guncon guns, but it's my understanding that them being inaccurate and glitchy in windows is normal.

I wish I could say there was an alternative to the (now expensive) act-labs guns, but so far nothing has came along to replace them.

I'm not an expert either... but I've heard that it depends on the gun itself.  guncon2 is only the interface.  But there are VERY different qualities.

I've heard that the original one is more accurate then the ActLabs and doesn't have the ever X number of shots is off in left field problem actlabs has.

The LED TopGuns are a whole other animal... just the interface is the same.
