  • When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity.  To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decate and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300C.  The Russians used a pencil.  Your taxes are due again - enjoy paying them ;D
  • They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq.  Just give them ours.  It was written by a lot of really smart guys and it's worked for over 200 years.  Plus, we're not using it anymore.
  • The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse is that you cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal", "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery", and "Thou Shalt Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians.  It creates a hostile work environment ;D

Also from snopes:

The lesson of this anecdote is a valid one, that we sometimes expend a great deal of time, effort, and money to create a "high-tech" solution to a problem, when a perfectly good, cheap, and simple solution is right before our eyes.

True stories of hundred-dollar hammers and toilet seats would fit just as well in this instance too in relation to taxes.

Drew, please tell me that you don't honestly need Snopes to tell you that it didn't take TWELVE BILLION DOLLARS of R&D to develop the space pen!  No wonder you buy so much conservative propaganda!   :D

Iraq war is costing $100,000 per minute. (source)  If you support the war, stop bitching about taxes. Simple.

See? That's what, 8.64 billion a day.  That's 59.22 billion a week. So in the 2 years we have been there we have spent 6.158 trillion dollars.

So YEAH! 12 Billion for ball point pens is CHEAP.

Ha Ha, Drew can't support the war in Iraq.

I'm getting a refund check.  So I can support the war that's keeping America safe.

Shmokes, I have higher hopes for you, but I've got to ask.

Is there a day that goes by in EITHER of your lives where you can just hear something funny and NOT question the veracity of every last detail of it?

I think it was best stated in "Good Morning Vietnam".  You two are in more dire need of a blowjob than any white men in history.

Just so you guys know, I didn't wait for your assessment, MrC.  That's funny right there, I don't care who y'are.

Get a life you tool bags, and learn how to enjoy a joke.

This thread is false advertisement.  There are more than 3 thoughts present.  Where is the government paperwork to request the government paperwork about the paper reduction act that covers the request for the request of information covering the paper filing of a complaint?

Maybe you should just bomb Iraq with 12 billion dollar space pens. It might be cheaper.

...and they can use them to write that nifty constitution thingy.
If you build a frankenpanel, chances are I don't care for you as a person.
