Lately I have been working on the design for Credit Button V2. This is a bartop cab based on the design of my last cab, Credit Button:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=35430.0

The new design will keep the upper portion of the cab, but extend downwards further to allow for a computer. I would like to know what people think of this new design, before any cutting begins. If anyone is wondering, this is the cab I was talking about in this thread:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=47184.0

It measures 16.5" W - 27" H - 27" D. The CP is - 15.5" W - 7" D.

Edit: New render. This full one should give a better idea of scale.

Edit 2: New render. Cab width updated to reflect actual cab. T-molding added. Front of cab changed. Small updates all around.

You can see what the cab looks like from the side in the poster on the wall.

Looks good. I can't get enough of these renderings lately...

Is this a prototype of what you would like to sell or is this one for keeps?

The monitors viewable area seems a bit short vertically...however that could be the render angle.

IMO if you have to extend this area vertically, you'll have to probably extend the horizontal width slightly to keep a nice asthetic height to width ratio.  A little more space will be your friend anyway!

What size monitor are you planning that would fit in there?

The one that I would like to sell. I already have my Credit Button.

The monitor area fits perfectly with most monitors. It is designed to fit a 15

I finished the model. It is not exactly to scale, since the cab has changed a bit since I started, but it's fairly close. Look in the first post for the new render.

What's to say ? it looks great. It's very pleasent to look at, smooth nice curves. very sexy.
I saw somewhere a black 1P button. I think it'll be better than the white.

OK, I finished the model... again. Actually, it will probably not be finished until I actually create the cab. Check the first post for the update (edit 2).

Finally got some work done on this and I can't resist posting the new "propaganda pic" ;) . It shows how far I'm actually planning on taking this cab (the before picture); I'll let someone else worry about finishing it.

I just put in a fairly large order with Rockler for KD fittings and a few specialty bits. With any luck, my next post regarding this cab will be in buy/sell/trade.

Edit: BTW, does the above picture look kind of dark on anyone else's monitor? It looks great on my non-online computer, but, once I come over here to post it, it looks too dark.

Edit: Ughh... I did it again. I hit the quote button instead of the modify button on my first post. Could a mod please remove this post?

Aren't we all on the dark side now ?
However, I don't seem to see any difference from the first one.

The "after" picture is indeed darker than the "before". (daytime-nighttime perhaps ?) ;D

The after picture and the one in the first post are almost identical. The new one is the before picture. I just mean dark in general. Now, looking at them on my laptop, they look fine. I think that monitor must be misadjusted.

The before picture had an extra light added to show the front shape better. The slope inward on the front is kind of hard to see in the renders.
