FYI: (ripped from cbs) "The Jessica Lunsford Act would put an electronic monitoring device on every sexual predator released into the community, for as long as 30 years."
Seems to me the best solution is not to release people that are that much of a threat, but what do I know?
And so the EE thread goes

I most certainly agree with you on that solution. Time and again, it's been demonstrated that without drastic measures, they almost certainly will reoffend, so why the hell let them out AT ALL? I'm for the deserted island strictly for sex criminals so they can all see/experience what their crimes do to the victims, but someone here said the British tried that with Australia, and now we have BrokenBones.
I'd like to go a step further and skip the electronic EXTERIOR bracelet, and go with the chip like they do with animals....add a GPS thingy in there too.
What I'm questioning is why the rash of female teachers seem to be treated WAAAAAY less harshly. If you swapped out the female teacher and male student and told the SAME story about some 40-year-old MALE student and his female student, there'd be nightly stories on your local news about "OMG WHADOWEDO WHADOWEDO?!?!?" Instead, it's looked at as "man, talk about every boy's fantasy!"
Heck, just look at the disgust we have when a priest does it. Why should a female teacher be any different? They wanted equal rights, now give it to 'em
