Motorola makes monitors?
« on: November 30, 2005, 01:49:38 pm »
I just acquired the manual for my 1977 Atari Dominos and just discovered the monitor was made by Motorola.  And here I thought they only made phones!
 ;D
NO MORE!!

Motorola used to make commercial arcade monitors in the 1970's, but they no longer make monitors.

Yep....I was quite surprised too, but then, I'm from Europe. My first contact with Motorola was their excellent 68000 microprocessors. Intel could have learned something from them...
About the dominos....still looking for a PCB for my Dominos cab. The looks of the Motorola monitor give me the shivers, I wonder if I ever will dare to put mains to it :S

Oh...my current GSM phone is a Motorola by the way :)
