Then you just need to go ahead and quit. If the yo-yos here at BYOAC (myself included) can do it, then how hard can it be? ;)

Oh, and Bones, here in America, we've come up with a STELLAR invention.  If you ask real nice, I'll pick up a case or twelve of these for you and send them in trade for Mrs. Bones ;)

I can't believe he isn't reading the forum. He must be using an alternate user name (I checked Jessica and that one hasn't been active either).

That or.....

He's really quit and super stressed as Scott suggests and associates BYOAC with smoking that he can't stand to come here without triggering relapse.

I had to substitute one raging addiction with another.

Maxwell house is much less expen$ive!  8)

I am a born substance abuser, up until a couple of days ago it was ciggarettes, coffee, and alcohol (which is ok cause I'm only 21).

Now I am a coffee fanatic, and caffiene makes me feel good for a change. Butts made me feel like ass.

OK, OK..... Smoke update.

Although I am doing my best not to think about it because today has been the toughest day so far with the cravings doing their best to send me insane, but I am pleased to announce that today is smoke-free day number 9.

No cigga's, no pot and I have had at least three drinking sessions so far and have resisted the incredible urges.

I shall purchase the finest cigar $2 can procure tomorrow in celebration of your success.  This, I can do, because it's been at least 3 weeks since I last had one, and at least a month and a half before THAT one.

I haven't "earned" the right to smoke it, only regulated my intake so as to help YOU out.  I hope you appreciate my efforts to help you stop and/or celebrate.

Carry on.

It really is a willpower thing, that's all there is to it.

And if you're having a REALLY bad day, or you're stressed out, (or you're drinking) your willpower turns to crap and you lose grip on it.

The only way I was able to quit was to stop drinking for a few weeks.  Then, I told my friends and girlfriend no matter what, under no circumstances give me a cigarette when I go out, and if I do you can punch me in the face.

That kept me from smoking when I went out.  eventually, you'll *mostly* lose the cravings.  They do come back from time to time, but after a year or so, cigarettes will probably taste like ASS if you try to smoke one (I broke down a year later and had about 2 puffs.  That was the end of that )..

Good luck.  I know how tough it is and commend anyone who is really working at it.

Just remember how serious you were when you typed this:

man I gotta quit, I don't feel like I can get a full breath anymore.  ugh.

Stay strong you fell off once now you know how bad it feels to fall...

when you try to quit again remember this.............

now you have to start all over again from day 1. it's not like you can insert a quarter and press player 1 to continue.

you have to start the game from the first level and overcome all the obsticles that you had to overcome to make it as far as you did.

It won't get any easier the next time. put them down and leave them down

you can do it and you want to do it other wise you wouldn't have started this thread.

now go and make us proud.............

Dude, you're telling me I can't have my cigar for you now?  You emmer effer!  I don't care....I'm just gonna pretend you NEVER said any of that stuff, and smoke it anyhoo.  I never knew you sucked on so many levels.  Keep trying, you've got about half the levels I do, but you might catch up if you just stick with it ;D
