how to stretch in mame 0.63?
« on: January 23, 2003, 05:10:26 am »
I just upgrade to Win2k in one of my cabinets, and using Mame 0.63 Win32 with command line. Everything's working great, got Game Launcher working and the whole bit. Only problem is the games are tiny, take up like half the screen. Some games, like Defender and Joust, still take up the whole screen, but Donkey Kong for example is miniscule.

I tried using hwstretch but it doesn't seem to do anything.

My video card is a Matrox G400, if that matters.

Any tips?

Understand that, and I think it's set so as default... problem is, on my arcade monitor some games look like they're "squezed" together, looking really awful...

So last night I tried to uncheck the "Aspect Ratio" checker, with the result that nearly every game now run in about fullscreen.... only bad thing about it is, that some games look weird when they don't run in aspect ratio...
