Need Processor Upgrade Help
« on: October 20, 2005, 11:10:26 pm »
I've been trying to find out what my motherboard is capable of handling, and haven't had much success. It is a Trigem Dublin Socket 478 motherboard. I believe it uses Intel 845. Right now it has an Intel Pentium 4, 1.6GHz processor at a 400MHz fsb. Can anyone tell me, or direct me to a website that can tell me what my mobo is capable of?

Not sure about that exact Mobo, but I've had some success with powerleap.com

I had a PIII 400 upgraded to their Tualatin 1.6 Ghz, worked pretty well. The video wouldn't show on POST from cold boot, but would from a warm reset. I think that was just my bios revision though.

Run their upgrade configurator, either on that machine or via thier website.

I did. It is a Trigem Dublin Socket 478 motherboard. 400MHz FSB. Can support "Northwood" processors.
