I've met him. You're right, he's not 6-2, but he's not 5-11 either. He stands a good couple inches above me and I'm 5-10.
Stop working on your bench. Benching doesn't get you big. Show muscles are biceps, quads, and lats. Secondary probably delts.
Get a good powerlifting routine and work it hard. You want all around mass right now and that is the fastest path. Later, when you're up 20lb, then you can start to focus on specifics.
