finally reliving the past
« on: September 16, 2005, 06:45:12 pm »
Finished my first project. Notice that it is the first project. My friends loved it so much now they want one too. I'm thinking about building a mini version for my kids. Perhaps a cocktail too. This stuff is addicting.

Here is the link to the page skatercade.tripod.com/Skate1.htm

Ignore the cheesy name and bio on the page. I'm not one for writing about things. Comments are appreciated.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone on these boards for asking questions and to those who answered them. Never had to post a question that wasn't answered already. A little searching can go a long way.   :)

probably should be banned for the contact paper. I want to put plexiglass on top because the paper is starting to bubble up in spots. I kind of expected this.  :(
I didn't have a plunge router to work with so routing out the joystick areas would have been a pain. This project was the first time I even picked up a router.
I'm thinking of builing a new control panel top out of 1/2" mdf so that I can put the plexi on top.
