Here's something you may or may not be aware of...
I purchased the DVD versions of Dragon's Lair / Dragon's Lair II / Space Ace in a box set put out by Digital Leisure from Best Buy about a year ago. Those games - to this point - were only controllable via your DVD remote.
Tonight, I decided to try and find a way to use them in my cabinet that would "hide" the DVD control by making it appear as if buttons, trackball, etc. on the control panel are in charge of the action.
ANYWAY...here's what I discovered. If I use Windows Media Center to run the DVD, it is already programmed to recognize I-PAC signals as the up, down, left, right and fire buttons. In other words, I can use the player one joystick to control Dirk, and the player 3 button for his sword! To make matters even more fun, I copied the DVD onto my hard drive so I don't have to keep opening the cabinet door to change discs.
You guys may have known all this, but it was pretty cool to figure it out myself!!
