oh, im pretty sure it will be only straight to dvd. but if you can screen it just once on a big screen its a cool thing to do.

oh, and earlier i joked about the blue screen of death and linux. well, in several shots there is linux stuff happening on the background screens and if that wasnt clue enough to the producer/directors affiliations, the scenes featuring the ships engineer shows him wearing a linux t-shirt!

well, we finally had the world premier of the movie last night (",). i was running a bit late, so i missed out on the red carpet photo opportunities. so all we have is pics taken by my slwoly ailing sony crapocam. first one is with melissa, who plays first officer Petty. i like melissa...

this is with Ronnie, who plpays my superior, Esdaille. since the director always called us by our character names, i kept forgetting rons! hes a cool dude, he gave me his business card so i wouldnt forget again

. he has some similarities to steve irwin, including the ocker accent, so sure enough there is a scene in the movie where he meets a monster

"CRIKEY" he yells!

edit: i get the feeling that 'surfer dude' on the left fancies 'blondie' on the right...

these guys are from the funkiest scene in the movie. the girl is dressed in a nurses uniform (as bought from an adult shop) and dancing in the background while the guys are flying their spaceship. not really sure why. as soon as i buy a new (canon) camera the sony is going in the bin...
the guy in the middle had this sort of french accent in the movie. i didnt know why he would do that, so i said something along the lines of 'that was an interesting accent you put on'. turns out he is actually french!

me and a friend went to a bar called the rumpus room afterwards. wouldnt ya know it, they had 1942 in a cab (any aussies know about this cab style? i quite like the look of it) set on free play (",)

as a post script to that, a woman saw me in my suit and taking photos and chatted me up. ended up at her place. purely to talk about arcade games naturally...

today i had my housemate take a few pics with her (working) camera before i took the suit back to the hire shop as i think i dont look too shabby in it. it would have been a pity to only have my crappy photos to send the folks...

i probably should have taken a shower before taking the pics. oh well...

you mean like George Lazenby?

the shirt and tie combo was recommended to me. decaprio and clooney both wore ties this year. but you know, now im looking, dicaprio has a regular shirt with that tie. cant find a pic of clooney this year...

ok. starting to pick out stills from the dvd. for now, this is one im most proud of. im off screen swinging the branch into esdales face. this got me credited as 'branch manager' which i think is freaking cool. i can now honestly put on my resume 'branch manager- angel studios' (",)

hehe. as well as an actress in the movie, she is in fact the choreographer as well! the goofy dancing is of course really hammed up. i wouldnt mind some horizontal folf dancing lessons from her...

its funny when im overseas because sometimes people assume im from somewhere else. my accent is fairly neutral for an aussie one. being first generation and from darwin (where EVERYONE is from somewhere else) helps...

It's funny for me, that because of the broad range of television I watched when I was growing up all my multi-syllabic insults tend to have a British accent, and all my crudest insults tend to have an American accent. Just depends on whether the person reminds me of a Baldrick or a Baldwin.
