Author Topic: Anyone else having problems with Gmail? (Read 4641 times)

For the last 2 days, I get this wihen I try to login to my Gmail account:

Server Error

Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyone else having problems? Of course, Google doesn't have any information about any outage.

(I guess this is to be expected when something stays in Beta for over a year??)

It's definitely you. Not only have I been able to check it with no problems, I've got it open in another tab this very moment and was replying to someone.

Dunno what the problem might be, but it IS working at present.....just not for you

pehaps there is a short between the operator and the keyboard..........

Try dumping your coolkes and cache, and trying it again.

In IE: Tools, Internet Options.
click delete cookies, hit OK.
click delete files, hit OK.
click Settings, make sure you are set to "Every Visit to the Page", click OK.
click OK.
shut down IE completely, start it back up.

My gmail stopped working until I clicked the notifier and pressed login. It's all good now. I was starting to wonder if I had been smote by the ironic knob-shinery virus or something. Guess it was just me.....wait.....

I finally had problems with my Gmail. It refused to work for me today at all. I couldn't read any messages, send anything, heck, I couldn't even check my spam!

After eating some bacon, I noticed I hadn't turned my computer on. Once again, bacon to the rescue!

Maybe your PC is getting tired of the same ol thing.

Maybe spicing up your love for bacon is not the bast idea and your comp has feelings of neglect because of you. Try to spend more time with you PC in the bedroom and everything should be ok.

My PC already IS in the bedroom with me, I tried putting some bacon in the A: drive, but all I get is sass. It straightened up real quick after I hit it with a rolled up newspaper and say "That's one....."

This seems to be a recurring theme with me. Every day I check, and my gmail is still working. I'm starting to think I might not be getting all my messages and that's why it works so often.

I havent had any problems with gmail, while accessing it from home or work.

How about http://www.google.com/talk/
Just tried it with a friend and it works great.

I do have a problem accessing gmail from work, but I am begining to think that might be because of the fact that there is no internet access to that computer.

Ever get the batch file that was a "Coca-Cola Drink Holder"?

My brother-in-law kept asking me "why's the CD tray keep popping open every time I try to run that?"

We let him take his helmet off only on the weekends now.

Reminds me of one of my favorite stories from high school.

A bunch of us were at a coffee shop we'd go to everyday after school where one of my friends got a Hot Chocolate and went on and on about how much he LOVED hot chocolate. He then said with a totally serious face "hey guys, they should really find a way to make COLD chocolate."

We all looked at him funny... he took a few seconds.... and then said "oh... chocolate milk. Can we pretend that never happened?"

We laughed for hours, and he still gets picked on about it 5 years later.

My friend since Kinder named Ken got the nickname "dicknose" after a conversation that went something like this.

Another buddy brought some donuts to shop class and when asked where he got them he replied "---Deutsche Frankfurters--- Bakery" doop be doopy doo along comes Ken and he says cool you got "---Deutsche Frankfurters---, I love "---Deutsche Frankfurters---!" another buddy Tony say's "Are you familiar with ---Deutsche Frankfurters---?" Ken replies "I am very familiar with ---Deutsche Frankfurters---! Yumm..."

Too this day he is haunted by that one conversation alone.
