Regarding that Dr. Fun cartoon. I'm not sure I get it. Is that supposed to be an anus? Doesn't look like an anus.

All Creatures Great and Small was a UK show that ended up on PBS in the US. It's main character was a vet in rural Britain. The name refers to the animals the vet treated.

So my take on the cartoon is that the point of the game is to assist in birthing. For large animals this can involve sticking ones arm *way way* up the female animals private parts.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but my first thought was that you really don't know much about farm animals (i.e. you think you need to reach inside an animal to milk it). On second thought, I suspect that you were thinking that the animal's udder was inside and the hole is just a shield for the mess.

I'm pretty sure it's the birthing thing. After all, the show (books first) are about a vet, not a farmer.

I've seen documentaries where the vet checks cows by putting on a long plastic glove and then they shove their entire arm up the cow's ass. *NO JOKE!* That's why I think it's an anus.

Probably more births than anything. In any case, that's where I learned what a prolapsed uterus is. I could have done with skipping that chapter.
