Awesome. Tell us what you did to it.
I've done a few since then. I totally forgot about this thread.
I said 'rebuilt' but more specifically I should have said 'restored'. It had been in a bar for a number of years without general cleaning. As such it had many layers of smoke on it, and tons of dust/dirt in the subwoofer section, as well as the speaker section.
Removed the grills and disassembled, sanded down, primed and painted with gloss black paint. Hindsight: should have done *both* sides, as you could see the white paint from the other side if you looked at a certain angle.
While they're off, clean out the speaker sections. Get the mirror backing cleaned to it's former shiny glory.
Spray with 409 and scrub, scrub, scrub! Wipe it off and repeat until it's clean.
Do the same thing to the inside of the cabinet. Much easier, though; it's not textured. It pretty much just wipes off.
Don't use glass cleaner on the insides of the glass, use Novus 1. It coats the glass slightly, and repels dust longer.
Then a selection of snazzy records, of course.
