FE Alphabetized Index Filter - Get It Here!
« on: May 25, 2005, 03:49:16 am »
After using Mame32FX's new game-list functionality, I was able to create the alphabetical filter that I was looking for.

For those of us with complete Mame collections, scrolling through the entire list looking for a specific game can be annoying and slow. What this filter does is provide a new filter called "Index", under which are 27 individual categories for the games that start with each letter in the alphabet and with a number. It works quite well when viewing in list or details mode, but it can be wonky when viewing in grouped mode. Because the grouped mode functionality is built in to Mame32 rather than a custom ini file, and because my filter breaks up the master game list, I don't think this can be fixed.(if anyone knows how it can be fixed, please feel free to contact me or change the filter to your own liking)

If you guys would like this filter, you can grab it below. Just drop it into the "Folders" directory in your base mame front-end directory, and it'll show up in your filter list. (this filter is based on Mame32 filter style, so it's not guaranteed to work with any non-Mame32 based FE's)
