Sega Saturn & Mamewah
« on: May 24, 2005, 08:59:31 pm »
I was wondering a couple of things actually...

First, what is the best saturn Emulator?

and

Second, has anyone gotten it to work with Mamewah?

Thanks a bunch

I never really got into Sega Saturn, but GiriGiri was prolly the best emulator from what i had heard...also, a guy named Barnito hacked in some extra support and stuff I think, dont wanna post his site on here but just run a search you should come across it.

Its not on JCrouse's site, which is pretty comprehensive, so there is no "standard" so to speak for setting it up in MAMEWAH, but I bet someone out there got it to work thru mamewah with something...wait for the advice of the experts on this site before you go by my word tho

I have both GiriGiri and the hacked version you speak of but I've never tried either. First I don't have and games to try them with and second, the compatability looks pretty low. I just never figured it was worth the bother. All that being said, I do have a layout but haven't posted it on my site yet.

Yeah even tho the hacked version is "better" neither is anything to really speak of...finding some ports I guess (Ikaruga for DC) is your best bet

Thanks, that answers it. I didn't see it on JCrouse's site, and don't have much desire for any emulators that don't run through Mamewah. But, since Nebula Model 2 and U64 aren't listed on his site, and do work with Mamewah, I though it might be worth a shot. Thanks a bunch!!
