Newly Built Gameroom - TONS of pics
« on: November 19, 2004, 08:45:46 am »
http://www.electricquarter.com/gameroom.htm

Used to be a garage long time ago (new house, we move in in april) but the previous owners added heat to this room, and built a 2 car garage.
I had to put the ceiling, walls, etc... in, and build a subfloor on sloped concrete (joy).

Just about done now, just need to re-arrange and tidy up, but that's an ongoing project for everyone, so I figured I would at least get some pics up and go from there since I haven't updated my pics in 1-2 years, heh. Lemme know what you think!!

Wow, now that's a game collection!

I never thought of putting them all in a library like that.

Now you need a wide screen to play them on!

Very, very cool!  You are truly a geek (which is a compliment). :)  I'll be forwarding the link to my wife to show her how lucky she is we don't have a spare space like that.

Ditto, I showed my wife who just yesterday was complaining that I wanted to put three bookshelves into one of the bedrooms in the new house (it's got 6 bedrooms for crissssssake).  I showed her this and said: "I think I want to display my consoles in one of the living rooms like this!"

Needless to say I'm keeping my bookshelves.

Added note: I really would trade the damn bookshelves for a room like that!  ;D

Wow, you are one of those guys that can LEGALLY use all the roms, aren't you!

I don't have much in the way of console stuff. I have a working atari 800 with a dozen or so carts, and maybe 15-20 games for systems I don't actually own (2600, Genesis, nes, snes, N64, Sega CD, Dreamcast).

I DO have 15 Neo Geo carts, and maybe 30 or so arcade PCB boards. I just wish boards were as easy to store as carts were.

Well, if you look, every single piece of anime on there is, er... umm... well, think of them like roms.... you can't buy them...umm... mostly.... so... uhh... I ... uhhh... got them, and then... umm...

Well, I payed for the evangelion DVD's, and the cowboy bebop is at least a hong kong boxset. The rest I made.

Neo-geo is for rich people, I just collect cheap stuff I find ;) The only neogeo item in this whole room is a neogeo pocket, and I don't even have any games for it, lol.

Sylentwulf : Clearly you don't not have enough games. I am ashamed of you. Such a poor showing.

*Uber-sarcasm*

nice gameroom. I'd never leave the house.

The vectrex is a bookend holding the binders on one of the shelves ;)

The C64 is a computer (I'm limiting to strictly cart consoles)

The system are display, but can be hooked up in literally less than 10 seconds including walking time from hea, to theya because of where I have the cables and power supplies hidden/hooked up.

I like the red/black wallpaper (or whatever) and ceiling!  Where'd you get them?

EDIT:
So, what kind of anime do you ow... er, posess?  That's kinda cool how you spanned a picture across the covers like that.  Any good anime recomendations?

EDIT #2:
On that note, do you know where I could get lots of DVD cases for cheap?  I, uh...  need them for something... yeah...
Also, how does each case look seperate?  Does the image wrap around or what??  You got a template or something?
