Retro Arcade Cabinet
« on: November 10, 2004, 03:47:32 am »
Well, here's my machine arcade.
I finished it here for months... but now I have redesigned cpo. I leave photos you so that you appreciate the change.
Still lack to apply the red t-molding (now has a red adhesive ribbon) and perhaps, change the plastic piece (pvc) that covers cpo by a Plexi one.
The previous panel had plexi instead of PVC and was rather better.
They are admitted you criticize.
Kind regards.
P.D.: The page is in spanish, but don't be afraid, it has many photos...  ;)

I saw your first panel a while back and thought the CPO was great. The second one is even better!

Thanks for your replies.
CPO is male....so "muy bueno"  ;)
I believed advisable to place small buttons to control the internal options of mame (escape button, reset, pause, exit, config.)
Is much more useful, besides to save space in the panel.
The central stick exclusively is dedicated for 4 way games.
And the cofiguration of the buttons of each player is a disposition for games of 6 buttons (capcom layout) and 4 buttons(snk layout)
There are 2 buttons on each side, left/right flippers and left/right shock.....(maybe i will put another one on the right side for the center shock!!)
And one button on the front panel (the yellow one) for launch the ball on the Visual Pinball emulator.
The connections are mappes as it shows:

Kind regards.

I love the art on your first panel. The 2nd one is too cluttered.

Regarding the first panel, what did you use as inspiration for the art design? And do you know what FONT you used? I really like it.
NO MORE!!

It cheers that you love the art desgns,RayB.
Referring to the inspiration, to say that to the panel of centipede was the one that inspire me.
Despite I modified certain aspects like the colors to adapt it to my pleasure. And the font I used, at least the one that I have, is called Alba Matter, you can find it at:
