« on: September 24, 2004, 06:12:08 am »
Its been many many months since I have had time to check this site out and or work on my Cabinet, but its 4:10am here in Regina Saskatchewan Canada and with the help of a friend we got it rocking :)

PIII 600
256megs PC-133
80gig Hard drive (Mame, MP3s, Videos for screen saver)
3DFX Voodoo 5500 AGP
SoundBlaster Vasta? Some old ISA SOund card I found in the basement
Stereo Speakers + Sub
2 Players each with (currently) 6 Buttons
Mame .67
Windows 98 SE (NO UPDATES Compact install)
21" Nec multisync XP21 Monitor

Its not the fastest Machine on the planet but it does its Job very Nicely

The Videos I use for the sreen Saver are classic 80's Commercials that I found a torrent of a long time ago ...

My Custom Marquee (original Marquee was used with permission, I put in the Matrix Characters though)

and of course this is the wiring job on the bottom of the control pannel ... gotta love shrink tubing :)

I used the I-Paq for the arcade to computer interface as I found it the easiest thing to setup and use

this picture is of my good friend Kev playing Pit Fighter
we spent like 4 hours re-wiring the entire cab to get everything working ... including the Coin Drawer :)

I will have to take this baby to the next R-Dot Lan party http://www.r-dot.org for some classic Gaming Tournaments I think

also I would like to thank http://www.emdkay.net for doing a dam good job at printing the Marquee

Thanks again to Kev, Josh and everyone else who helped me build this thing ... ohh and of course how can I forget, Thank you Saint for making that book ... its been alot of help to me ... it stands proudly by my Arcade for all to see
