WG D9200 / ArcadeVGA Setup Question
« on: September 08, 2004, 09:56:49 am »
I've used the tool from Minwah to setup the best ArcadeVGA resolutions for my MAME games and turned off hwstretch to present the most clear/authentic image.  The problem I have is when I turn off hwstrech for some games like Burger Time the monitor displays the games but intermittently blanks out every 10 - 30 seconds for about a second.  The game is set at 240 x 240 in the INI file created.  This appears to be affecting all 240x240 games.

I haven't tested all resolutions/games, but the other ones I have randomly tested seem to be fine.

Does anyone know what might cause this?  I figure it is either my setup, a problem with the new D9200 monitor at this resolution, or a problem with the new ArcadeVGA card.  In my frustration I turned on hwstretch and the blanking stopped but the game looks fuzzy.  I also tried a few other resolutions like 256x240 and the game seems to be ok (the screen not blanking) and seems to look ok, but I'm not sure if this is the best approach or if I have some hardware problem to be concerned with.

Thanks for the help.
