Help in Mamewah Set-Up
« on: August 31, 2004, 04:15:29 pm »
I have some Rom pics to add to mamewah, but I don't know how to load them into it.  I'm using Mamewah Set-Up to ease my pain.  Could anyone tell me where to load them into using Mamewah Set-Up?

if you mean rom snapshots to display in a front end, mamewah or mamewah setup have nothing to do with it at all.

Put your pictures in the "snap" directory of your MAME folder, then just point mamewah to that folder.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

Ok, I think I understand now.  But I can't find the place in mamewah setup to point my snaps folder to mamewah.  Where is it?

I don't know about the setup utility, but you can set it easily in emux.cfg

On the 'EMU Config 1' page, there is a section for artwork paths.  Set the #1 artwork path to the 'snap' folder (if you don't see one, make one) under your MAME root directory.

Repeat as necessary for artwork paths #2, #3, etc. if you wish to see other graphics on the front end.

That is assuming that the layout you have setup utilitzes those artwork paths.  After setting the paths,  you can click on the 'Layout View' tab at the top to see what it will look like.

True.  I was assuming he was using a default layout.

The only problem I'm having is that some of the names of the pics and the names of the roms aren't matching up.  I'm assuming I have to go through one by one and fix this?
