« on: July 26, 2004, 11:28:39 pm »
Does anyone know if there is a nms file for the Atari 2600 for mamewah on the web??

i'm also looking for screenshots and box scans with the correct names for use in Mamewah....Screenshotarchive has plenty of artwork, but they are not name correctly for Mamewah...

Any info would be appreciated..

thx!

The Atari 2600 Screenshots (at screenshotarchive) are named correctly, but may differ from your rom files if they have not been renamed using the same version of goodtools that was used for the screens.  For Mamewah to display artwork, it must match the filename of the rom exactly.  Try using goodtools to rename your rom set and they should work ok.

Is there a way to make the GoodTools suppress the addition of their code to the filename??  It adds things like "[!]" to signify that it is a good rom, however this will not match the artwork....If not screenshot archive has a neat utility for renaming files (much like a text editor) which I can probably quickly remove that stuff...thx!!

Goodtools will add the extra info to the end of the files and this should match the artwork at screenshotarchive.  Don't remove the extra info unless you are going to remove it from you artwork files also, otherwise they will not display.  Some frontends allow you to remove the extra info in the games list anyway, so I'd suggest just leaving it.
