Yesterday i went to look at a couple games this guy had for sale. He said on the phone that he wanted $100 a peice for them so i figured they were probably junk. I went to look anyway and it turns out one is a neo-geo one slot with bust a move in it although the cab needs some help everything works including the the two credit counters on the marquee. the other is also a neo-geo one slot with samari showdown in it. it is in a worn kangaroo cabinet that had another life as a street fighter. it is completely working with a 25" monitor. i ended up leaving with both games for $150. needless to say i was smilling all the way home. Btw he still has a gauntlet cab in good shape that has pit fighter in it,but it has no monitor bezel glass so someone scratched their name(s) into the monitor . i would have taken all three but i was out of room in my ford ranger. the guy told me i should have been there two days earlier because he sold a donkey kong and a pacman for $250. i sure hope he meant $250 a peice. i have his number if anyone wants a guantlet cab. btw the machine is in Pasadena CA.

i think he did know the value of them but his business is moving and he doesn't have any room for them in the new location or in his home. i guess he figured getting a little money for them is better than having to leave them at the old location and getting nothing.

 just a little update. i took one of the games to my dads house to cut the locks off (my bolt cutters broke yesterday)and start in on the hole filling and corner fixing. well, when i got the back door off there was more than just a few quarters in the bottom, there was $45.75 in quarters!!! so when i got home i checked the other machine and there was $2.75. so i guess i got both games for $101.50.

Gauntlet actually didn't come with a monitor glass, although I think some ops added them later. I would have taken all three of them anyway and put the tailgate down and strapped the heck out of them. I have a Ranger too, it would have worked.

Even though I'm not even done with my first MAME machine, I have plans to get a NeoGeo cab.  They are just some of the coolest damn games ever IMHO and I MUST have one.  That is of course once I get a career going and a place to put the thing heh.  But I digress..... nice find!
