Small CP & Marquee: Kinko's wants to laser print
« on: May 25, 2004, 11:09:11 pm »

I am ready to print my final artwork on my little tabletop machine.

I decided to just get it printed at Kinko's as it is so small.  The biigest piece is the CP at 6" x 12".  The marquee is only 3" x 12" so both fit on legal size paper.

Anyways, I talked to 2 Kinko's today and both wanted to print these on the color laser because they are so small and both insisted that would look better than the sign printer.

I am not backlighting the marquee so do not need backlight material.

Anyways, I am skeptical of the color laser.  Will this work OK?  or should I have them print it on something else??

Who can tell with Kinko's. It is a TOTAL and COMPLETE crapshoot. See the posts below about the quality of Kinko's.

If you want to be assured of great quality, have it printed by one of the guys that specialize in arcade printing.

Kinko's MIGHT do it well, or they might not.

Kinko's needs direction.  It's your money.  you are the customer.

If you want the sign printer, then merge all the pieces together into one big piece so it's big enough for them to put on the printer you want.  Then cut it out when you mount it.  You should put some extra border on it just to make sure that you can trim it correctly.
