Anyone from CT,NY,NJ?

Just curious.   This talk of a get-together in New England has me wondering if there are enough folks in the NYC metro area for a shindig.

Hillsborough N.J  Jack T. I just did a job in Jackson yesterday. After leaving the job I was behind a pickup that had two cabs strapped down in the back. Couldn't see what they were because they had a tarp over them. Was that you ? ;D.  If not he was  probably bound for Great Adventure I would guess.

Jack T, I install overhead garage doors and electric operators. Also install storm doors but garage doors is my main gig. If you've ever heard off "This Old House" magazine check out the April 99' issue. I did a four page article with them on how to maintain and repair a garage door. Pictures and all. ;D. If you or someone you know needs a door or operator let me know. I do repairs on existing doors and operators as well.

Heh heh.    I was just messing with my opener and door last night.  Didn't need a professional though.

That's good to know.

When I moved into my new house in 1998, I bought two openers from Home Depot.  I had my dad down to help install them.  He took one look at the directions and said, I'll pay to install one of these if I don't have to do it.  I said, Done.  And then I had Home Depot install them.

Yeh, garage door operators now-a-days are a little more involved because they now come with the infared photo cells that have to be wired up along with several other bells and whistles. Most new cars come with the built in "Homelink" transmitters and they can be a pain to program sometimes. Quite often people call me to come install one that they started and gave up on. I get there and the parts are scattered all over the garage floor and whatever IS put together is usually wrong and has to be taken apart and reassembled correctly. ::)  Ah well.. it pays the bills though. ;D

thenasty....Are you thinking of coming to our New England get together ?  I don't know how you feel about travaling via bus but there is a bus terminal 20 minutes away I'll pick you up on my way to FUNSPOT. Ironically the date for our getogether (june 5th) is the same day as my family's annual begining of summer cookout, and there will be people coming from NJ

...OK, I'm tentatively thinking of "hosting" a get BYOAC together at my home in Livingston NJ.....BUT, I'm an XArcade user (and proud of it)....I'm not sure if you guys would be able to deal with that if I did host a small get together???

I have a stand up (old Star Gate) and a cocktail both XArcade controlled......

Anyone interested?

Let me know.....
