why so large? becouse I have a 10 TB and a 12 TB I want o back up or add that are full.

This will probably be my last PC at this cost level. I am looking at a 3k budget. Emulation is my main goal. and GOG I do want to add a steering wheel and light gun.
well thanks for any or all advice.
I have been away for some time. Health and lawyers took up all my free time. I am 61 and I can not handle to much at 1 time. stress level effects my hart level.

I can go full desk top with a big video card. but with where I use my computer, (kitchen table) mini pc works well.I can go full pc but everything seems to have RGB lights. Not a fan of them. I do not need the bling

Ya I don't know about that. Looking at the description it says 12 Cores Graphics Card; performance is almost close to that of a full NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti.  A 1050 Ti was already a budget crappy performing card from 2016.

The Ryzen 7 7735HS is like a laptop processor. The reason why desktops are still big is because good processors and graphic cards still generate a lot of heat so you need big heat sinks and air flow.

I didn't know I built my first computer in 2004 and every 5 or so years I build a new one. Not a big deal, its kind of fun to get what you want and put it together.  If I want something small and quiet I would just get a mac pro.
