It claims that the sound works...? Do Nintento monitors have built in speakers?

Why do people complain about being sniped?  If you had really wanted it that bad, you would have bid your max and  if it had gone over that would have been that.

Don't take that the wrong way, but bid more next time...

If you're really interested , I believe I've got that exact monitor sitting in my basement, I've also got the 120->100V Isolation transformer and the color inverter board for it so you can use it for other games.
The one I have has very little screen burn on it, not noticable during gameplay.

I bid my max, he bid higher and I decided to go higher because I really wanted that like new monitor. he outbid me by 2.oo and I was just about to re-up my bid when the auction ended. I had a timer going so I KNOW I had 15 seconds left, but Ebay said it had ended.  >:(

Sniping is total BS. It's people taking advantage of Ebays bidding process. if 2 people are bidding, the aution should continue until one gives up.

:)  So you bid your max, then bid again, then were going to bid again?  Sounds like it wasn't really your may then was it?   ;)

Sorry man, just sounds like sour grapes to me.  No such thing as sniping, bid what you are willing to spend and then let it go.

well... lets not get too upset...

next time.... don't bid until the last minute...
and snipe it back with a high amount then....   :P :P

but if you already bid over your max twice...
how far do you think you will go ??....

eventually... you MIGHT outbid that guy... but the monitor might not be worth it anymore....

I think in this case... ebay saved you from just want to win the bidding war with that other guy....

anyway... that's how this bidding game is....
so... I personally would consider this "fair play"...
but that's also why I never buy anything from ebay....
Another Brilliant mind ruined by education....  :p

When I first started using ebay, I sniped my fair share but usually there were at least one or two others doing the same thing at the same time.  Now, I just go out and bid my max when I see the item and let the chips fall wherever.  I lose a lot of the auctions but I never end up bidding more than I originally intended.  Call me lazy.
With larger sellers, you may want to email them directly to see if they have another similar item they'd sell you for the same price.  My dad uses this technique with great success.

As do I. Probably half of what I've bought via ebay was not through the auction.

There is only one thing that gives me more pleasure than sniping an auction!!!

Sorry, can't tell you what it is. This is a family board!

Personally I like sniping, I won't bid any other way. I use a sniping service to do it. Why should I bid and give some other guy time to think about whether or not he wants it when I know what I'm willing to pay. If you bid your max twice then you didn't really bid your max. Besides by waiting till the last 15 secounds to up your bid you were also sniping. Just you were doing it manually.

If you don't like sniping try yahoo auctions. They have an option that the seller can select to extend the auction by 10 minutes if there is any activity in the last 10 minutes. Its only there if the seller selects. I bid against a guy one day for 4 hours before I gave up and let him have it.
My statements are my own opinions. They have the value that the reader gives them. My opinion of my opinion varies between foolish and brilliant and these opinions often change with new information.
