Question about other emulators
« on: February 13, 2004, 02:34:12 pm »
I'm using mamewah as my front end and have several different systems on my arcade.

I'm using virtuanes to play my o.g. nes games.

On certain games when I run the emulator, a windows dialog box comes up saying that "this is an illegal header in the rom" do you wish to continue".  If I hit okay, everything starts up fine.

It's obviously something the coders put in there.  Can I disable it.  The games run fine after I hit okay, but it is an annoyance.

Thanks for the help

It says that because you have a bad version of the rom.  Unfortunately, there are so many NES roms floating around it is hard to have a verified good version.  When I get that message, the rom will not work most of the time.  I think the only solution is to download a new version of the rom.  I don't believe there is a way to disable the message.
