random thread.
So last night I get home from work to see that my mom had sent me a facebook message...apparently she's doing some house cleaning and found a box of junk.  The question for me was "do you have any interest in that old Atari?"
Ummmm...yeah!!!
I actually looked for it a few years ago and couldn't find it...figured it'd been thrown out or sold at some point. This is one of the early generation versions...difficulty switches on the front.
now....what should I do with it once I get it? I'm pretty sure there's still a handful of cartridges in the box (I last had the thing around 93-94 in an old apartment...I remember playing the hell outta Video Pinball).

Oh the joyous days of getting hand cramps playing with that controller.....
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Curious if anyone ever played Star Raiders?

I'm going to just bet that it's probably not in the box waiting for me at the 'rents house, but it was the easiest game to completely get immersed in on that console, imho.  The joystick in hand, keypad on the knee, I could almost pretend that my 12 year old self was piloting a space ship saving the galaxy.
