Looking for advice on artwork
« on: January 17, 2016, 06:32:05 am »
Hi guys,

First post however I think I've read 1000's of these on this site. I have built a cabinet based on Project Mame cabinet.

I'm having trouble with the marquee. I need some ideas.

Cheers

Why not just keep it simple and go with NEO GEO.
Or if you want to emulate the logo of the NEO GEO marquee add the lil boxes where you would see the game info, but custom design some "inserts" that have "how to play info."
So for example info regarding your set up, like if you were using MaLa for example you would list the P1+P2 = exit,  etc etc.
Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Mike,

I changed the marquee's colour and added the NEO GEO logo, looks better however I still want to keep the old school arcade title so might include that in the instructions.

Not sure what front end to use yet, if I can work out MaLa's layout editor then I will use it.

MaLa is awesome.
I use MaLa for all my cabinets, and think it is TOP SHELF!
If you check the MaLa thread you'll see my thread for custom artwork.
I'm sure you could make an awesome NEO GEO layout for MaLa.
