Monitor Discoloration
« on: August 06, 2015, 11:50:29 pm »
Before I buy this Donkey Kong cab, could someone inform me what may be wrong with the monitor and is it an easy fix?  Thanks

Looks like it is just a degaussing issue.  When machines get moved around, the magnetism around monitors can make the screen show funky colors. The monitor has a degaussing coil that Should fix it. You turn off the machine for 20 minutes or so and then turn back on. Should resolve the issue...sometimes I've had to do it a few times.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your response. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting over my head with this buy.

it looks like either degauss or magnetic feedback, cant say if theres anything more than that wrong with it without it being in front of me.  IF its only degauss its a pretty easy fix.

Degaussing worked a miracle. Thanks
