that's just a tube number. it has no bearing on what the electronics is.
that said, WHEN they work, a pentranic is probably not a good choice for mame. though not impossible, it's going to be a bear to get a working signal to it since it's probably a medium resolution monitor. but if it's standard resolution, you'll need a special video card to display games on it.
ideally you want one of the digital monitors like a wells gardner D9200/D9400/D9800 but they are becoming as scarce as bigfoot now and expensive to boot.
