That's cool.  I highly recommend that marinade for what it's worth.

In Texas, many supermarkets have a Goya aisle.  It's glorious.  Anything they make is better than their competitors.

Yeah we get a bunch of Goya stuff here in AZ, too.  Adobo is a good general seasoning...

Yeah, their adobo is great on just about everything.  I've eaten so damn much of it it's not even funny.

And it's a glorious misappropriation of a name that refers to an entirely different type of seasoning, the likes of which are rarely seen outside the confines of Huy Fong Sriracha.

Also a big fan of their pimento stuffed olives.

Can confirm.  Was introduced to adobo by Puerto Ricans in the USVI.  They mixed it with corn meal, rolled everything in it, and fried in peanut oil.  And by everything I mean EVERYTHING.  Octopus, shark, endangered species, tuna, etc.

AC died , Sobieski (company that installed it 3 years ago) said it was out of warranty and it'd be $99 just to come look at it.

Little bit of google, little bit of asking my dad and my cousin and BAM! FIXED!

The compressor would turn on but the fan wouldnt. The coils would overheat and the AC would trip the thermal protection, end result 86 degrees inside.

Turns out this giant rusted capacitor was bad:

$12.09 later:

Cool air and I saved at least $87

As for the central A/C:  Same thing happened to me right after I bought my house last week. Swapped the old bulging capacitor and it fixed the problem.

I'm amazed you guys found someone willing to sell you a capacitor.  That's the biggest scam going in AC repair.

QFT

I got one from a company called  RE Michel ( http://www.remichel.com/ )  . They don't sell to the general public, but my cousin is a HVAC guy with a commercial account. So I bought the cap using his account number. The cap I spent $12 on costs $75 from Sobieski, and they charge $25 to install it (so roughly $300 an hour)

I've found exactly one place in Houston that'll sell them to the public, and it's appropriately named "ServAll."  My problem turned out to be a bad fan motor, but I kept the $5 caps anyway.

I had genetic testing done at 23andme for ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- and giggles....
Also 3.2% Neanderthal, which apparently is really high.

I didn't.  It's a separate, overlapping thing.

EDIT: As an aside, though they're not allowed to give you any medical related info anymore, you can use your raw data to get the medical stuff elsewhere.

We're all the same species, and any biomarker that's associated with a particular population can be found in any population on earth.  Some double cousins in my wife's family both had it done and it came back with some hilariously mismatched results compared to their family narrative.  They were consistently mismatched, though, I'll give them that.
