MameWah Setup Question
« on: May 02, 2015, 03:48:45 am »
I'm trying to install MameWah on my machine, but I am missing something.  Every time I try to run it, it says I need to download and install the support.zip file.

I downloaded directx here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
Installed that.
Downloaded the Support.zip, unziped to a temp folder and ran the bat file.  I didn't get any errors, but Mamewah still won't run.

Here is what's in the log file:
5/2/2015 1:43:47 AM MAMEWAH v1.69 launched
5/2/2015 1:43:47 AM Missing system file: C:\Windows\system32\paintx.dll
5/2/2015 1:43:47 AM Missing system file: C:\Windows\system32\mscomm32.ocx
5/2/2015 1:43:47 AM System files missing, MAMEWAH quit.

This is on Windows 7 SP1 x64.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for the help.  Brian

The system files work great in Windows XP but in windows 7 you need to register them manually. I remember having modified the .bat file to do this automatically. Here is the file. Hopefully they work for you.
