This is going to be the build log for my as yet Untitled bartop. I wanted it to be cheap and easy just like me. So i designed it to be mostly cut from one 4' x 2' x 1/2" MDF sheet. as it what i have cheap in my area.
So i designed this bartop with no hard cuts in it. all the cuts are straight cuts. I also took a page from Vigo when I was planning out the layout of the Sheet cuts. Which im still working on so may have a layout posted soon. Included in this post is a pic from Sketchup. if anyone wants the file i can provide it as im new to sketch up the model is simple as well. the Square with the Circle inside it is the Joystick. the Square was only so i knew how much space i had under the CP when deciding the layout of the CP. The button Circles are the size the button will be above the CP not the hole cut. ea Hole will only be the standard size 1 1/8". Im still unsure how im going to do the Speaker panel not sure if i should leave it angled off the Monitor bezel or parallel with the top. the final dimensions will be around 22"H x 21"W x 15"D. for the first part im only cutting out the sides, Control Panel, bottom, Top, Speaker Area. For a bezel ill mostly get cheap black foam board from walmart as a temporary solution. also not showing is the supports that not use for attaching the wood panels. I'm gonna use either left over MDF from the build or just but a 1"x2" stake and cut it to the lenths I need.
