Gorf Cocktail Control Panel Art
« on: July 18, 2014, 12:23:14 pm »
I have a Gorf cocktail that needed new CP art, but couldn't not find any to buy so I recreated them in Illustrator. I am throwing them up here to share in case someone is needing the art.

There is a .pdf and .eps version here...

Hope this helps someone out.

Excellent - I've just been given a cocktail to restore, these will come in handy! Do you have some pictures of the actual machine? I could use some for reference.

Thanks for the share. I picked up a Gorf cocktail about a month back. Control Panels are in pretty good shape though. But you never know when you will need the files.

Thanks again

I will take some pictures of mine and posted them for you when I get a chance. Finishing up a Ms. Pac-Man cabaret, probably get a chance to take some and post them tomorrow.

I have a few pictures of mine already loaded, so I will throw them out there until Shipwreck hits them up.

Here are some quick pics I took of mine. If there is something in particular that you need... let me know.

Beautiful machine, Shipwreck. Did you do a full restore then?

Beautiful machine, Shipwreck. Did you do a full restore then?

I wouldn't say a full restore but the it was in bad shape when I bought it. I stripped the cabinet and repaired the wood on the bottom corners and a couple of other places. Put new laminate on the outside. Repainted the Coin Door, Control panels, Vents, and speaker covers. Replaced the glass and underlay and the control panel overlays. I cleaned up the joysticks. Replaced the buttons and replaced the power cord.

Paid $75 for the cab on craigslist and it wasn't working right. The graphics were all jumbled on the screen. Pulled the board case and cleaned the board case and the six boards inside and hooked it back up and it was back in business. It is my first machine and my first restore. I learned a lot from the experience. Now I am working on a Ms. Pacman cabaret that was in a flood and the cabinet is trash so I had to rebuild the cabinet from scratch. The game works which was surprising after the damage to everything.
