Apparently you can't do a combination couch and internet multiplayer unless everyone on the couch has a PSN account.  It did pop up a notice that you were online while we were playing, though.  So.. beware?

Personally I think the PS3/360 version from last year looked fine, but it's a lot smoother and more graphical flairs on the PS4.  I opted for a physical copy because I figure this one is always going to have some semblance of resale value or friend wanting to borrow it.

I've since sold the 360 version of Diablo, so I wasn't able to do the transfer of characters to the new PS4 version.  So I have to start all over again.  Oh well..it's a fun game.  Really smooth.

go buy it used from gamestop, do the transfer, then take the game back for a full refund

in all honesty, you can get a computer for FREE that would perform better than a $280 console (I assume a la ps3/360 since you can't buy any current generation console for that price unless you are a shyster.) oh...also...uhm... wiiu runs upscaled 720p on most of it's games.. i believe only 3 games currently run 1080p and 2 of them are ports from the wii.

In case you haven't seen lately, SSD's can be had DIRT CHEAP when they go on sale. I just picked up a sandisk 64gb SSD for 19.99

oh, and go ahead and just plug that PS3/PS4/360/one controller right into your computer USB...no problem....and then go ahead and just plug that computer right into your TV. yes HDMI is pretty much standard on video outs these days. and if not, most TV's have VGA.

The times they are a-changin' old man, better keep up or you'll be left behind.

y'all can wait till something is on sale if you like. i didn't specifically shop around for the ultimate price or anything, but i'm sure you could save 30 bucks somewhere... hell everyone has an old computer case somewhere.

i chose the 270 videocard because it's at par or better performance than both the XB1 and PS4. 270 is capable of 1080p @ 60FPS on Ultra, PS4/XB1 only does 900p/720p @ 60FPS on Medium.

Pc master race stuff is nonsense.  I game on everything and the PC is the worst of all options and always has been throughout the years.  PCs cost too much, installing games, even today, can be a pain in the butt, and yeah, the games don't look significantly better on the pc either. 

What the pc is good for are mods/hacks, indie games and emulation, and I use the crap out of them for that.  The day I pay as much for a video card as I do a full fledged gaming console... yeah not going to happen. 

It is especially ridiculous if you consider that these days games are released on the consoles FIRST and then PORTED to the pc. 

So they might give you better textures or a higher render resolution, but yeah, it's the same game as the one you crapping all over for looking worse on the console, only you paid significantly less and spent significantly less time with the setup to play it on said console.  The sad state of affairs is they HAVE to offer slightly better graphics or else why would you buy a game that was released are year ago or more on the consoles?

"Perform better" is subjective.  A Xbone performs better than a Wii U, which is great I guess until you realize that there aren't any actual games on the Xbone, while the Wii U, it's got a few already.  The same goes for the pc.  It doesn't matter how much better it performs, you only have access to a small fraction of the games available today if you use it as your primary console.

  Eh, for a product that could only have a few months at most use on it, and getting it from a reputable seller (best buy) with a product guarantee, $250 is a great deal. Most of these are are just open box returns that they can't legally sell as new.

Where have you been?  between steam, origin, emulation, and what i can buy on disc, i have probably 98% of the entire worlds gaming collection at my disposal. I can hook up a wii controller up to my computers bluetooth and play wii right now. i hardly consider the 60 games the Xbox 1 and the 100 some odd games the PS4 currently has, is not much of a fraction compared to the over 3000 games available at over at steam right now. I think you'll find it's quite to very opposite to what you've said. as for the Wii u, I dunno man, they aren't toting themselves as the PC killer. Nintendo is our friend here. Wikipedia says they have over 400 games on the Wii u.  you may as well compare the nintendo 64 to the xbox 1.

No point in replying to all of these counterpoints... it's an X2 length post full of X2 style nonsense.

Why would anyone buy a XB1 or a PS4 anyway?  They are overpriced and have one game a piece of play on them.  I was referring to consoles vs the pc... not the pc vs 500 dollar media players that happen to play games. 

The moral of this story is to buy a Wii U.
