how to wire this button

I just purchased this LED button to control power on pc (desktop) can you guys guide me in how to wire this up and also when I press the button  stays down so when I press again will come up is this good for controling power. Thanks

Use a multimeter set on continuity (either beep or ohms) put it on two of the connectors and push the bottom. There are only a few different combinations of two that it could possibly be. One of the connectors is probably common, one is probably for continuity when the button is depressed and the other is when the button is released.

Edit: Just saw what you're using it for (didn't read well), it's not best suited for that. If you are looking to replace a standard pc power on switch you want something that's momentary and comes back up immediately.

I'm no expert, but if you like that button and want to use it you can sometimes carefully take them apart and remove the little locking pin what makes it lock into place, I have done it before on some buttons, others are moulded and you can't open them, just carefully try to open it and see if you can find the pin if you are able to remove it, the button will work then as a momentary push to make switch, just check continuity then as already suggested by other members with a multi meter to find the right pins.

This should give you an idea. The "on/off" can be flipped to make it work how you want it to but the important thing is the common wire is in the middle and the other wire goes to either the "on" connection or the "off" connection...BUT...you need to use a meter to verify before hooking anything up. Think of it like pic #2. The common contact will slide over to either the "on" or the "off" position. When you press the switch once, it slides over to the "on" contact. When you press it again, it slides over to the "off" contact. Make sense?

Your "on" and "off" should be relabeled as "Normally Open" and "Normally Closed".

thanks all for your help. i was taking the button apart to remove the part that holds button down and ones i got it open all parts start falling down so now the only part that works is de LED

When you buy another one, make sure it is momentary contact, and not latched.
