« on: April 23, 2014, 01:03:44 pm »
thanks for the help in my previous thread.

im getting a new problem on my makvision 24.8. hooked up everthing going great but im gettin a purple type streak on th far right side of the tube right on the end. is something i can do to make this discoloration go away?

any suggetions would be awsome.  there no speakers or anything to that sort new it as well. just a little annoying.

thank you so much

Try turning down the brightness and contrast.  These monitors have a reputation of being shipped with these settings turned all the way up.

Hard to tell without seeing but it could be in need of a degauss... did yourfecently move or rotate the machine. It sounds silly but the earths magneticfields can cause that to happen if thevmachine is moved while there is still a significant charge in the tube.

You can test this by spinning the machine 90 degrees while the monitor ison to seeif the discoloration moves.
