I currently have an ArcadeVGA hooked up to a D9200, and I created the .cfg files using the AVRES utility. My problem is at lower resolutions, the image becomes more blury, like its amplifing any convergence/purity problems. For example, Centipede (which I realize is a Vert game running on a horz monitor) at the suggested res, when you shoot a spider, its pretty tuff to read what the displayed value is. This exists in horz games as well. I ran the Nokia display test at 800x600 and 640x480 (at 30kHz, not 15kHz), and it wasnt perfect, but didnt look too bad. As in 1 color was not consistantly off in any part of the screen. I realize that you will probably never get an arcade monitor thats perfect, but is this what I should expect or should I try adjusting the convergence?
I put in a GeForce 4 for now and run everything at 640x480 and the display is much clearer. It just seems a waste that the arcadeVGA isn't working out... that seems the best path to take.
Thanks for your help!
