Sport! Scratch-built Konami/Centuri Track & Field
« on: September 04, 2014, 02:19:30 pm »
Here's my scratch-built Track & Field:

Free PC with ATI Radeon X300 card running GroovyMAME
Free Pacific 19" CRT TV (decased)
NOS control panel overlay
Reverse-print marquee vinyl onto perspex
Cheap LED strip marquee lighting from eBay
Ultimarc GoldLeaf buttons (until I can get a set of original leafs)
KADE interface
Custom MALA menu to select Track & Field/Hyper Sports
Stripped and repainted coin door with Centuri sticker (until I find a Centuri raised plate)
RAL 5010 Blue paint
Waiting for black cardboard monitor bezel from Joeycuda @ KLOV

I love everything about this. A barcade, filled with "new classics" is high on my list of dreams and wishes.

I haven't expierenced QWOP, but the internet has me believe its frustrating.  It looks like a running game so I thought it was fitting.

@shrunkenmaster
That is a very nice looking cab.  Thanks for sharing.

You haven't lived until you've seen this guy cosplay QWOP:

She's a beauty!  :applaud:

I still can't get past the hurdles… But one of the great arcade games of all time, for sure.
I'm with stupid.

My favourite game and great build. Im basing my cab very loosely on T&F and that game is the inspiration to build mine.
